description

Beneffrey stands at the end of Springkell Avenue in Pollokshields, south Glasgow. The two-storey villa , designed in the style of the late Franco-Scottish neo-Gothic , is asymmetrically constructed. Details made of polished natural stone are set off from the layered masonry . The windows are partly designed with stone window posts or window crosses. Small-scale, unadorned lead glass windows are usually installed. Simple stylized pinnacles on the gables close with balls. The round corner tower with a conical roof on the southeast side is striking . The steep roofs are covered with green slate.
