Bengt Lundqvist
Bengt Lundqvist (* 1922 ; † 1953 ) was a Swedish chemist .
Life
Together with the Swede Nils Löfgren , he developed the active ingredient lidocaine in 1943 . They sold the rights to the active ingredient to the Swedish company Astra AB . In 1953 Lundqvist died of a cerebral haemorrhage.
