Benjamin Schnieder

Benjamin Schnieder (born December 27, 1974 in Hamburg ) is a German philosopher.

Life

He obtained his master's degree in philosophy in 2000 from the University of Hamburg , his doctorate in 2002 (philosophy) from the University of Geneva and his habilitation in philosophy in Hamburg in 2009 , where he has been professor of theoretical philosophy since 2011. In 2000/2001 he was a visiting student (philosophy) at Oxford University . From 2003 to 2007 he was a research assistant at the Philosophical Department of the University of Hamburg. From 2008 to 2011 he headed the Emmy Noether research group Phlox at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

His focus is on philosophy of language and metaphysics.
