Benz Steffalter

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Benz Steffalter or Stupphil was mayor of the imperial city of Heilbronn in 1420 .

Family history

The Heilbronn family of the Stupphil or Steffalter is first documented in 1287 in the person of Heinrich Stupphil. Stupphil was of great importance in the Heilbronn patriciate because he was one of the three seniores there . The Stupphil are likely to be identical to the Steffalter family, who later appeared in the person of Mayor Benz Steffalter.
