The Coppa Placci was until 2010 a cycling - day races in Italy and San Marino .

The finish of the race, which was held for the first time in 1923, was in San Marino . It was since the introduction of the UCI ProTour in 2005 part of the series of the year UCI Europe Tour and in the category classed 1.HC.

The length of the race was around 200 km, with the drivers having to climb the Titano , the ascent to San Marino, at the end of the race .

The race was first held in 1923.

In 2011 the race was merged with the Giro della Romagna and was held under the name Giro di Romagna et Coppa Placci . After this race was no longer held in 2012, the merger with the Giro del Veneto to the Giro del Veneto - Coppa Placci took place .
