Guido Bontempi
Guido Bontempi (born January 12, 1960 in Gussago , Italy ) is a former Italian cyclist . He began his career as a professional rider in 1981 and ended it in 1995. Since 1998 he has continued to work as a sporting director in cycling.
Bontempi was an all-rounder and good sprinter who was successful in both one-day races and tours . He belongs to the select field of those drivers who celebrated stage victories in the three big national tours, the Tour de France , Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España . But he was also victorious in classic one-day races such as Gent – Wevelgem or Paris – Brussels .
At the 1987 Tour de France , he was given a ten-minute time penalty for testing positive for testosterone .
