Emilio Petiva

Emilio Petiva (born January 30, 1890 in Rovereto , then Welschtirol ( Austria-Hungary ), today Trentino , † September 17, 1980 in Turin ) was an Italian cyclist .

Emilio Petiva was a professional cyclist from 1910 to 1928, with a five-year break due to the First World War . After he, at the age of 20 years, in 1910 Italian champion in the road race before Luigi Ganna had become great expectations of him were set, that he could not fulfill.

In 1920 Petiva finished fourth in the Giro d'Italia and in 1923 eighth. In 1924 and 1925 he won the Coppa Placci and in 1926 the Giro dell'Umbria .
