Giuseppe Loretz

Giuseppe Loretz (born March 4, 1860 in Milan , † January 15, 1944 in Rubiano ) was an Italian racing cyclist .

In 1885, Giuseppe Loretz won the first edition of the Italian road cycling championships , while still on the pegged bike . The race led from Milan to Cremona and back over 160 kilometers. It took Loretz three hours and 27 minutes. He received a 72 gram gold cup from Prince Amadeus of Savoy . In 1886 he became vice-champion. He also achieved the title of Italian master on the tricycle .
