Ivan Santaromita (born April 30, 1984 in Clivio , Varese Province ) is an Italian cyclist .

Career

Ivan Santaromita started his career in 2006 with the Belgian UCI ProTeam Quick Step-Innergetic . In the seasons 2008 to 2010 he was a member of the Italian cycling team Liquigas and was one of the helpers of Ivan Basso in his 2010 Giro d'Italia victory . In 2013, Santaromita won the Italian championship held as part of the Trofeo Melinda after he broke away from a five-man leading group on the difficult circuit together with Michele Scarponi and beat Scarponi by two seconds.
