Lisnyky observation station

The Lisnyky Observatory ( Ukrainian Спостережна станція Лісники ) is the observatory of the observatory of the National Taras Shevchenko University of Kiev .

The station, founded in 1956 by the head of the Institute for Astronomy at the University of Kiev Professor Serhiy Vsechswjatskyj , is located at a height of 156 m on the southwestern outskirts of the Ukrainian capital Kiev in the village of Lisnyky . The number of observation nights is 50 to 60 annually, in good years up to 100.

Technical specifications

Telescope AZT-8, D = 70 cm, F = 2.8 m, equipped with a number of UBVRI filters. Matrix ST-8XME, 1530x1020, pixels 9 mm (0.65 arc seconds), field 16x12 arc minutes.
