Reporting month

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In economic statistics, a reporting month usually corresponds nominally to a calendar month , but in fact often only approximately. The data for the entire period can be based on a limited number of samples or reference dates . For example, the official unemployment statistics for a reference month are collected on a reference date in the middle of the calendar month and are often published before the end of the same.
