Berlin Pavilion (Reichstag)
The Berlin Pavilion is a flat glass building at Scheidemannstrasse 1 in the Tiergarten district of Berlin . It was opened on July 20, 2006 opposite the Reichstag building and contains shops, an information desk, a bistro (100 seats inside, 300 outside) and 25 toilets.
The original opening date, which was scheduled for the 2006 World Cup , could not be kept. Both the schedule and the budget were clearly exceeded because underground lines that had not been recorded during the construction work were found. Instead of the planned 2.0 million, the building cost around 2.5 million euros.
