Berlin Football Association

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Berlin Football Association (BFB) was a local football association in what was then the capital of Berlin . The BFB was probably founded in early 1911, the first time the federal government was mentioned in early February 1911 in the contemporary sports press.

The championship began on February 12, 1911, with the following eight clubs participating: Adlershofer BC , BSC Sperber, FC Saxonia 1908 Friedrichshagen, Wacker Weissensee, FC Helgoland Rixdorf, Königstaler BSC 1910, Eintracht Lichtenberg and FC Britannia Tempelhof. Whether the point round actually ended and who in this case won the championship was no longer reported in the contemporary sports press. Presumably, however, the Berlin Football Association dissolved again in the spring or summer of 1911.
