Berlin pattern

Berlin pattern is a certain form of plastic relief decoration on ceramic dishes . On a plate of normal size (approx. 22 cm diameter) it consists of six rocaille cartouches on the rim and six relief gussets protruding into the mirror. The "Berliner Muster" was developed in 1763/65 for a service for the New Palace in Berlin . The Ansbach-Bruckberg porcelain factory was known for this decor .
