The Ansbach-Bruckberg porcelain manufactory emerged in 1758 from the Ansbach faience factory founded by Margrave Wilhelm Friedrich in 1710 . Margrave Alexander had recruited workers from Meissen for this purpose . In 1763 the manufacture was relocated to the Bruckberg Hunting Lodge. When Ansbach became part of the newly founded Kingdom of Bavaria in 1806 , the company was privatized. In 1860 the manufactory went bankrupt.
The manufactory became known in the 18th century for its elegant tableware with imitated Berlin and Ansbach patterns, as well as porcelain figures in the Rococo style . The largest collection of faience and porcelain from the Ansbach factory is exhibited today in the Ansbach residence .
