Berlin Cup

The Berlin Cup is the annual youth country cup tournament for female youth, age group U15 in indoor hockey . The Rhein-Pfalz-Pokal is played for male U15 teams .

The Berlin Cup tournament is played on a weekend in December and represents one of the last steps in the promotion of young talent at the regional association level. The importance of the tournament is probably one of the most important youth tournaments due to the fact that it is one of the decisive sightings for the U16 national team in German hockey. Almost all women of the German Olympic championship team from Athens also took part in this tournament.

History and news

The cup was donated by the Berlin Hockey Association in 1982 and the first tournament took place in the same year. The tournament has had its current name since then. The record winner is the Hessian Hockey Association with 10 wins.
