Bernd Lipfert is a former German basketball player .

career

Lipfert was a member of USC Heidelberg in the basketball league from the 1977/78 season . In his first USC year, the winger was with the team German cup winners and runner-up. In 1980 he was relegated from the Bundesliga with Heidelberg and immediately promoted again in the 1980/81 season. In the spring of 1982 Lipfert had to accept relegation to the Bundesliga with the USC. Once again, he and his teammates managed to gain direct promotion: the main round of the 2nd Bundesliga South in the 1982/83 game year and the promotion round were both finished in first place. Lipfert then left USC Heidelberg for TSV Speyer , but returned to USC for the 1984/85 Bundesliga season. In the spring of 1985 Lipfert failed to stay in the highest German league with the Heidelberg team. He played for USC in the 2nd Bundesliga until 1988. As a trainer, Lipfert looked after the women from KuSG Leimen .
