Bernd Weinreich

Bernd Weinreich (born July 3, 1948 ) is a German composer and musicologist .

He studied musicology at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg with Professors Siegmund-Schulze and Bimberg. His composition teachers were Edgar Neumann, Joachim Thurm and Hans Jürgen Wenzel . His catalog raisonné includes more than 60 works. Chamber music compositions, piano works and songs are in the foreground. He has also written several music for the stage, a symphony, orchestral works and solo concerts.

Bernd Weinreich is chairman of the Cottbuser Musikherbst association and director of this music festival with mainly works by German and Sorbian composers from Lusatia.
