Bernice Morgan

Bernice Morgan (born February 8, 1935 in St. John's , Newfoundland ) is a Canadian writer .

Morgan attended Newfoundland Academy in St. John's and worked in public relations for a long time. Among other things, she acted as editor of the Gazette of the Memorial University of Newfoundland. In 1986 she decided to work full-time as a writer. She initially appeared as an author of short stories and as co-editor of an anthology . Her two novels Random Passage (1992) and Waiting for Time (1994), which are related in terms of content and focus on the struggle for survival of a small community of settlers on the coast of Newfoundland in the early 19th century, brought her supraregional success . The material served as the template for a four-part television series that aired in Canada and Ireland in 2002.

Bernice Morgan is married and has three children.
