Berthold (Munster)
Hodolf called Berthold was the fifth bishop of Munster since 870. His term of office ended between 870 and 880, probably it ended in 875. Little is known about his work.
Life
Hodolf was with King Ludwig III. related by marriage. He owed his bishop's seat to this. Little is known about his work. He is mentioned in a document in 870 and 873 when he was in Cologne . According to legendary traditions, he saved his diocese from an epidemic through penances and processions.
