Bertrand Muffat-Joly is a former French biathlete .

Bertrand Muffat-Joly won the junior title over 10 kilometers at the French Championships in 1986. The then Chasseur of the French Armed Forces achieved his greatest success when he won the individual silver medal behind Tor Espen Kristiansen and in front of Ville Raikkonen at the first ever European Biathlon Championships in Kontiolahti in 1994 .

After his active career, Muffat-Joly became a successful nature photographer.
