With around 280 employees, the Cologne Vocational Promotion Agency offers around 800 rehab retraining places in 35 IHK and chamber of commerce-tested professions. The offer includes commercial, technical-industrial, IT and training in social professions.

The retraining usually takes place on an inter-company basis and includes company internships lasting several months. The entire training lasts about 24 months and, after a successful application process, is financed by the German pension insurance, the employment agency, the job center or another social security agency.

In almost 50 years since it was founded, more than 25,000 people have started an apprenticeship through the Cologne vocational support organization. The quota for the subsequent entry into working life is over 80 percent in the long term.

As a pilot project, the BFW Cologne, with the support of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, offered part-time qualification measures for women at an early stage .

Various qualification, orientation and integration offers for people looking for work and other target groups complete the offer.
