The Professional Association of Austrian Psychologists (BÖP) represents a professional association the interests of psychologists in Austria , was founded in 1953 and has more than 5,400 members.

structure

The BÖP is a founding member of the European Federation of Professional Associations of Psychologists (EFPA), a member of the Working Group of Associations of German-Speaking Psychologists (ADP) and a joint federation with the Austrian Society for Psychology (ÖGP).

The BÖP comprises 13 specialist sections (occupational, economic and organizational psychology, health psychology, geriatric psychology, child, youth and family psychology, clinical psychology, mediation, emergency psychology, educational psychology, psychotherapy, legal psychology, sports psychology, traffic psychology and trauma psychology), nine regional groups and the "Platform for Students".

The BÖP publishes the journal "Psychologie in Österreich" and has its own Academy for Psychology (ÖAP), which offers both advanced and advanced training events for psychologists as well as events on psychological topics for non-psychologists.
