The visitor terrace is a place at an airport which , due to its construction, is well suited to observe what is happening and the movements on an airport apron . Often, but not exclusively, there are visitor terraces on the roof of a gate .

A visitor terrace is not found at every airport. If an airport has a high volume of traffic , the visitor terrace often offers a correspondingly large amount of space. A gastronomic offer can be found on some of the larger visitor terraces. Frankfurt Airport is an example of this .

Entrance fees are often required for visiting a visitor terrace.
