Guardianship judges established the Supervision Court Day eV (BGT) based in Bochum in 1988 under the name of the Guardianship Court Day. All professional groups involved in care law practice should thus receive a forum for the exchange of experiences. The association sees itself as a specialist organization within which interdisciplinary cooperation, uniform application of the law and professional training are to be promoted. He does not represent any professional interests. It has around 1,000 members, including many guardianship judges, legal clerks and other people working in the care sector. The BGT is recognized as a non-profit organization.
