Bettina Kirnbauer

Bettina Kirnbauer (* 1961 in Bruck an der Mur ) is an Austrian diplomat and was head of the Hofburg's foreign policy department from 2017 to June 2020 .

After completing his law studies, Kirnbauer entered the diplomatic service in 1984 and was at the embassies in Bern (1986–1989), Manila (1989–1993), Prague (1998–2001), the UN representation in Geneva and the OSCE active. From 2001 to 2007 she was Consul General in Zurich and then Chief of Protocol in the Foreign Office .
