Betzel

Betzel is a mostly colorfully decorated bonnet that is worn as hair ornament in many traditional costumes. See for example Schwalm costume .

Betzel is the family name of the following people:

  • Adam Betzel (1839–1922), Bavarian major general, commander of Ingolstadt
  • Clemens Betzel (1895–1945), German officer, most recently lieutenant general in World War II
  • Johann Christoph Pezel (also: Betzel; 1639–1694), German town piper and composer
