description

The Bhutanese short sword has a straight, double-edged blade. The blade becomes wider from the handle to the location and usually has neither a central ridge nor a hollow grind. The place is pointed or rounded. The booklet is usually made of wood and is wrapped with metal wire and covered with black lacquer or leather. The scabbards are mostly made of wood and are often decorated with carvings or silver fittings. Some versions of the sheaths are designed to be almost completely open on one side (see picture on web links). A practically extended version is the Bhutan sword . The Bhutanese short sword is used by ethnic groups in Bhutan.
