Bibliopolis

Bibliopolis is the name of an Italian scientific book publisher based in Naples .

The publishing house was founded in 1976 in Naples by Francesco del Franco and its program has specialized primarily in publications in the field of philosophy and the humanities. Numerous book series are published in cooperation with scientific institutions, above all the Istituto Italiano per gli Studi Filosofici , which is also based in Naples , including, for example, source editions on ancient philosophy under the title La Scuola di Epicuro and La Scuola di Platone , the Elenchos series with the eponymous magazine , published by the Centro di Studio del Pensiero Antico at the University of Rome, as well as the national edition of the works of Benedetto Croce .
