Big Air is the name of a steel roller coaster model from the manufacturer Vekoma , which was first delivered in December 2010. The only one delivery so far is the roller coaster of the same name in the E-DA Theme Park in Taiwan . The roller coaster, which belongs to the Shuttle Coaster and Spinning Coaster category, is currently (as of November 2019) the highest and fastest spinning coaster worldwide.

The drive

The 165 m long route is shaped like a big U. The train pulled up one of the two vertical 64 m high towers with a catch car. Once at the top, depending on the driving mode, the cars are either rotated 180 ° so that the passengers can look down, or the cars remain in their position. The train is then released and goes back down the tower, through the station and up to the second tower. A top speed of 108 km / h is achieved here. The train goes back down this second tower, through the station and back up to the first tower. There he sounds himself back in the catch car and is either pulled back up for another lap or the train is slowly lowered back to the station.

Trains

Big Air owns a train with two cars. Each carriage can seat twelve people in four rows, with only two people in the first and last rows and four in each of the two middle rows.
