Big Carl

Big Carl (Sarens SGC-250) is the largest crane in the world. It is a double ring crane with a reach of 275 m and a maximum lift of 5000 tons. The name refers to Carl Sarens . Since 2019 he has been working on the construction of the Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant in Somerset , England .

The operator and manufacturer of the crane is the Sarens Group . It was completed on November 9, 2018.
