Big Eight (nutrients)
The Big Eight are the eight nutrients that, under certain conditions, have to be specified on food packaging . The Big Eight expand the four so-called macronutrients ( proteins , fats , carbohydrates and fiber ) and must be specified if one of the elements from the Big Eight is highlighted or specified.

The Big Eight includes the following nutrients in the order listed:
- Calorific value
- Egg white (proteins)
- carbohydrates
- of which sugar
- fat
- of which saturated fatty acids
- Fiber
- Table salt
