Big Sister (brothel)

building

Big Sister was a brothel operation in the Czech capital Prague that was in operation from 2005 to around 2010.

In spring 2002 the idea arose to show a night club live on the internet. In autumn 2002 a suitable building in the 5th district of Prague was acquired. In spring 2003 the planning for the conversion and the requirements for the software company took place. In the summer of 2003, construction began at 46 Nádražni Street. In May 2004, the renovation of the building was completed and the installation of the technology began.

Since its inception, the brothel has attracted attention in many countries around the world because the sexual activities taking place there were published live around the clock and also recorded on the Internet . Money was earned through fees paid by the users of this website. The brothel itself was basically free of charge for the male guests; However, a small amount (the equivalent of ten euros) for bathrobes, towels, etc. was charged. The guests had to declare in writing that they would transfer the rights to the recordings to the operator of Big Sister.

Employed prostitutes worked for the house, and they were filmed in their free time. Non-professional women and couples could, however, also take part as guests.

Due to the unstaged character of the film recordings, a kind of realistic permanent sex show was sought, which was to be similar in concept to the Big Brother TV shows and touted as an innovative form of voyeurism .

Even after the company has closed, recordings from the brothel will be marketed on the Internet. While the web address bigsister.net was mentioned in the terms and conditions , the address as of December 2015 was bigsisterlive.com. The website is currently (2017) not available.
