KvBL education center

The education center kvBL has been called Schools kvBL since October 9, 2019 and is an organization under private law based in Liestal, Switzerland . At the three locations in Liestal, Reinach and Muttenz , 2,000 learners are taught by around 200 teachers (in 130 full-time positions). On behalf of the canton of Basellandschaft, the kvBL schools offer basic and catch-up commercial training, basic training in retail, as well as school bridging and integration offers.

Basic and catch-up commercial training and basic training in retail

The vocational schools (KBS and BSD) equip their graduates with the basic technical competencies and key qualifications that enable subsequent specialization and deepening and lay the foundation for successful professional development. The business school (WMS) creates a basis for a successful career entry with a school education in the commercial area and enables a further study at the university of applied sciences with the professional baccalaureate. The vocational baccalaureate training at the BMS enables particularly talented and motivated young people to enter a technical college course in an economic direction via the dual commercial training. The catch-up training in the commercial area enables adults to catch up on qualifications in this area.

School bridging offers

The school bridging offer plus modular (SBA plus modular) consolidates, expands and deepens the general knowledge of the learners and makes them fit for an apprenticeship or a secondary school. The commercial preparatory school (KVS) ensures entry into a three-year basic education. Through job-specific preparation, it enables you to successfully complete a commercial or related basic training. The vocational preparatory school (BVS2) leads the apprentices to a successful start in a demanding job in the areas of care, social or IT, technology, electronics in two years with an in-depth education.

history

The “Baselland Commercial Association”, founded in 1912, held the first courses for the accountant's diploma from 1918 and began teaching in the commercial sector in 1929. In the years that followed, other schools were incorporated into the organization (including a sales school), the commercial secondary school was opened in 1972, and in 2000 school-based bridging offers were added. From 2007 the three schools will appear under the common name Bildungszentrum kvBL.

The commercial association Baselland is responsible for the kvBL training center. The Supervisory and Strategy Council (ASR) performs the strategic, coordinating and advisory tasks and oversees the management. The management conference (FK), consisting of the three rectors of the school locations, the head of further education and the head of finances & services, forms the management and, as the highest body, is responsible for the operational management of the kvBL training center.
