Bill Amend
William JC "Bill" Amend III (born September 20, 1962 in Northampton (Massachusetts) ) is an American comic artist .
Amend was already drawing for the school newspaper when he was in high school . He then went to Amherst College and did a PhD in physics. Nevertheless, he decided to become a comic artist. On April 10, 1988, the first episode of FoxTrot , a comic strip about the Fox family and their 3 pubescent children, was released. Until 2006 the strip appeared in more than 1000 newspapers daily, from then on only on Sundays. The comic is also printed in newspapers in many countries outside the United States.
Amend lives in Kansas City with his wife and 2 children . He is an avid World of Warcraft player.
