Bill Cosby (Original title: The Bill Cosby Show ) is an American sitcom that was broadcast on NBC from 1969 to 1971 . The series comprises a total of 52 episodes in two seasons. In 1972 thirteen episodes were broadcast on ZDF , which were repeated several times by other stations from 1985 onwards. Further episodes have not yet been dubbed.

The series is about the high school gym teacher Chet Kincaid ( Bill Cosby ) and is set in Los Angeles. Relatives who play along are his mother Rose, his brother Brian and a sister-in-law named Verna. Its chief director Langford played by Sid McCoy and psychologist Mrs. Marsha Peterson (Joyce Bulifant) play in other supporting roles.
