Binandere is a group of eleven Papuan languages ​​of the Trans New Guinea branch in Papua New Guinea . One of the individual languages ​​with 6902 speakers in this group is also called Binandere.

Geographical distribution and language development

Binandere languages ​​are mainly used in the Oro Province and e.g. T. spoken in Morobe Province . The languages ​​have no official status. In some of the languages ​​there are translations of parts of the Bible - for Binanderean Proper even since 1912 - and other literature and e.g. T. radio programs. The literacy level of the speakers is very different.
