Binandere is a group of eleven Papuan languages of the Trans New Guinea branch in Papua New Guinea . One of the individual languages with 6902 speakers in this group is also called Binandere.

Geographical distribution and language development
Binandere languages are mainly used in the Oro Province and e.g. T. spoken in Morobe Province . The languages have no official status. In some of the languages there are translations of parts of the Bible - for Binanderean Proper even since 1912 - and other literature and e.g. T. radio programs. The literacy level of the speakers is very different.
