Dutch Space

Dutch Space is a Dutch company that manufactures system elements for space travel . The focus is on robotics and the manufacture of solar panels and high-strength structural elements. For example, it supplies the engine structures for the first two stages of the Ariane 5 launcher. Dutch Space employs around 300 people.

The company was founded in 1995 under the name Fokker Space as a spin-off from the insolvent Fokker company . It has been operating under the name Dutch Space since 2002 , which it continues to operate after it was taken over by EADS Astrium Space Transportation in December 2005.
