Connective tissue weakness

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A connective tissue weakness is mostly constitution- related inferiority of the supporting tissue .

The connective tissue , which consists of elastic and collagen fibers , normally surrounds, supports and strengthens every organ in the body like a scaffold and connects the structures in the human body with one another.

The fewer firming fibers (collagen fibers) there are in the connective tissue, the lower the tissue tension . This then leads to slackening of the outer skin , blood vessels can widen ( varicose veins ) and the firm anchoring of individual organs in their actual place can decrease (lowering of organs, such as in the case of a vaginal prolapse or a displacement of the uterus are the frequent consequence).

Connective tissue weakness can occur due to lack of physical stress, for reasons of age or from a predisposition at a young age. Alternating showers and specific gymnastic exercises can, however, contribute to a general consolidation.

Nordic walking , jogging and swimming , for example, have a positive effect on varicose veins that continue to expand , as the surrounding connective and muscle tissue is strengthened and can thus support the veins. Moderate strength training under supervision can also help with weak connective tissue.

A balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals and largely avoiding alcohol help, among other things. This can have a positive effect , especially in the case of pronounced weak connective tissue and the associated premature cartilage breakdown and the resulting inflammatory joint diseases . A certain amount of cartilage regeneration can also be achieved through moderate physical exercise under supervision.
