Arthropathy ( ancient Greek ἄρθρον árthron 'joint' and πάθος páthos 'suffering (shame)') or joint disease is the generic term for degenerative, inflammatory, metabolic, rheumatic or infectious diseases of the joints.
The term arthropathy is often used when the diagnosis does not yet allow a reliable classification, for example in inflammatory ( arthritis ) or non-inflammatory joint disease ( osteoarthritis ).

- for example: Felty's syndrome , rheumatoid nodules , psoriatic arthritis , juvenile idiopathic arthritis , gout , pseudogout , Kashin-Beck disease and polyarthritis
- Osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease), ICD-10: M15 to M19
- for example: polyarthrosis , Bouchard's arthrosis , hip joint arthrosis , knee joint arthrosis , rhizarthrosis , spondylosis deformans and spondylarthrosis
- other joint diseases, ICD-10: M20 to M25
