Biochemical Society

The Biochemical Society is a British learned society for biochemistry .

It was founded in 1911 as the Biochemical Club by Benjamin Moore , WD Halliburton and others. In 1912 the club acquired the Biochemical Journal . In 1913 the club changed its name to the Biochemical Society .

The headquarters were originally on Portland Place in Marylebone ; Portland Press is the company's publishing house.
