Biotechnology Center Münster

The Biotechnology Center Münster (BioZ) is a building complex in the technology park tailored to the needs of biotechnology companies. The operator is Technologieförderung Münster GmbH.

history

The BioZ was developed in the early 2000s in coordination with biotechnology companies. Its opening in 2003 took place with municipal participation and marked the first step towards the life science location of Münster . Due to the increased space requirements of the users over the years, construction of a second building section began at the end of 2017. As a result of the expansion, a total of more than 3,100 square meters of equipped laboratory and office space has been available since the beginning of 2019 - double the previous area. They were fully rented before they were ready for occupancy.

Buildings and Infrastructure

The BioZ has a modular structure and offers rental space on three floors that can be divided into individual modules. The laboratory area corresponds to the S1 and S2 standards and provides GMP areas, clean rooms and a biotechnology center.
