Birdie were a British indie pop duo made up of Paul Kelly and Deborah Wykes.
Band history
Kelly and Wykes met in 1994 while working with the band Saint Etienne in London . In 1998 they decided to make music together.
Birdie's first album, Some Dusty , was initially just a collection of demos. However, IT Records staff were impressed enough to sign the duo and release the album across the UK. The album was later released by Kindercore Records in the United States .
While working on their second album, Triple Echo , the duo was supported by drummer Jon Chandler.
