BishopAccountability ( www.bishopaccountability.org ) is an American Internet platform on sexual abuse in the Roman Catholic Church , which publishes internal church files and data on the sexual abuse of children primarily within the dioceses of the American Catholic Church . The website was founded in 2003 by the American philologist Terence McKiernan, which he currently runs together with Ann Doyle.

According to the founder McKiernan, 130,000 files have been published online so far. For this purpose, the names of 3000 perpetrators from among the clerical staff of the American dioceses were made known, as well as the procedures for handling these cases by the church authorities up to the highest offices.

According to Spiegel-Online, the private, non-profit making enterprise is financed by private donations from the groups of abuse victims.
