The Bismarck Tower of Landau was inaugurated 1910th It is on the edge of the fort.

In 1904, Eduard Ferdinand Koch, a member of Landau's city council, proposed the erection of a monument dedicated to Chancellor Otto von Bismarck . In 1909, the Privy Councilor Friedrich August Mahla II. (1860–1944) donated the necessary funds for the construction of 9,500 marks . Mahla was mayor of the city from 1905 to 1920. As an architect was Hermann Goerke commissioned in Dusseldorf, who is also the Landauer Art Nouveau Festhalle designed. The work was carried out by Ecker Söhne in Landau. Immediately before the topping-out ceremony planned for December 29, 1909, the structure collapsed. An additional 7,400 marks had to be raised for the reconstruction, which was completed in 1910. The inauguration ceremony took place on October 23, 1910.

The Art Nouveau tower was built in the red sandstone typical of the southern Palatinate , which was quarried from the Landau fortress built by Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban . This Bismarck tower has a square floor plan of 6.1 by 6.1 meters and is 12 meters high. The name Bismarck is written above the entrance. The coat of arms of Bismarck is attached above. The year “MDCCCCX” (1910) is even higher. The tower is decorated with oak leaf reliefs and acorns, an allusion to the coat of arms of the Bismarck family, and seated eagles in half relief.
