Bitfarm-Archiv is an open source software for document management of electronic and paper-based documents of all kinds. Bitfarm-Archiv supports companies of all industries and sizes in filing and researching, archiving, electronically mapping business processes and complying with legal requirements Audit-proof storage of tax-relevant documents.
history
Bitfarm Informationssysteme GmbH was founded in 1998 as a system house in Siegen . The development of Bitfarm-Archiv began in 2003 when they were looking for a special customer solution and could not find an adequate product on the market. It was clear from the start that this solution should be implemented as open source software.

Bitfarm-Archiv offers audit-proof archiving of electronic documents, such as B. PDF, Microsoft Office, Open Office and other image file formats and an audit-proof archiving of paper-based documents that are captured by TWAIN scanner, network scanner or multifunctional device. Data from any application that uses installed printers in Windows for printing can be recorded by a virtual archive printer.
