Bjur oils

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bjurböle meteorite is a stone meteorite of the L / LL4 chondrite type . He fell on March 12, 1899 in Bjurböle near Porvoo in Finland . A total of 330 kg was recovered.

Bjurböle is a very "crumbly" meteorite and full of chondrules . In contrast to other chondrites, in which the chondrules are often firmly attached to the matrix, the Bjur oil chondrules are therefore very easy to separate. There is also a lot of Bjurböle material available and relatively easy to obtain. These are probably the main reasons that the Bjurböle chondrules have been researched quite often and that a lot of data is available.
