Blucher Monument (Bad Düben)

The Blücherdenkmal is located in the north-Saxon spa town of Bad Duben in Nordsachsen . Here it is to be found near the city spa and the school in a green area. It is recorded in the local monument register under registration number 08973890.

The monument was erected in 1941. It is reminiscent of the Battle of Nations near Leipzig in October 1813, during the Wars of Liberation . The memorial stone is a large monolithic granite stone, which stands on a rectangular artificial stone base. In its center, a cast iron relief medallion with the portrait of the former Prussian general Leberecht von Blücher (1742–1819) was attached.

Under the portrait there is an inscription with the words “Headquarters of the Silesian Army v. dated Völkerschlacht bei Leipzig, Düben, 6th - 9th October 1813 ” .
