Bla is an indie pop band from Madrid that is signed to the Spanish label Elefant Records . The band is a project by Belén Chanes Gálvez (* 1973) and Luis García Morais (* 1972), who are also members of the indie pop band L-Kan .

Bla's first album was released in March 2010, La mejor enfermedad ( The best disease ). The song contained on it, Yo soy como Portugal (Eng: I am like Portugal ) caused controversy after it was reported on the website of the Portuguese weekly magazine Visão . The ironic song is seen as a polemic against Portugal (headline: “Spanish band paints a gloomy picture of Portugal”). The text excerpt is quoted: "Lo que tenemos yo y mi amigo Portugal es que parece que lo nuestro siempre lo hay mejor o igual en cualquier otro lugar" (Eng. About "What connects me and my friend Portugal is that apparently everything what distinguishes us, in every other place in better or (at least) similar form ”). However, both the band and record label left no doubt that it was irony.

In 2013 Bla’s second album, La falta básica , was released, and the single Los siervos de la gleba was released .
