Black Ball Camp

Black Ball Hill

Black Ball Camp is a castle ruin south-southwest of Dunster in the English county of Somerset . The hill fort from the Iron Age is on the north peak of GALLOX Hill and is considered a Scheduled Monument .

The facility is also known as the British Camp and may be related to the nearby Bat's Castle . It has a 3 meter high curtain wall and a 2 meter deep moat . At the beginning of the 20th century the foundations of a stone tower were visible, but they no longer exist today.
